VuTech Display Systems
The Display Bars by VuTech provide a dynamic and cost
effective alternative to bulletin boards, display cabinets, tripods
and a host of other traditional methods being used to display items
such as banners, posters, laminated items, varying sized documents,
artwork, graphs, maps, announcements, lab results, patient care instructions,
etc.
Usage Ideas and Applications - Solutions for Display
Challenges
Below are a series of display challenges, followed by an easy solution
utilizing the VuTech Display System, which provides an improved display
method while reducing costly repair and repaint expenditures.
1) Bulletin boards - One difficulty
involved with bulletin boards is the random and often unorganized placement
of the items being displayed.
VuTech solution: Start
by placing a Display Bar approximately five feet from the ground,
then place a second Display Bar 14 inches below it. The top Display
Bar can be used to display documents up to 8.5 X 14 inches, or smaller.
The bottom Display Bar could also be used for another row of similar
sized items, or could display larger items such as large posters,
etc. The most important thing to remember is that unlike the random
placement of items on a bulletin board, all the items placed in a
VuTech Display Bar are in neat, easy to view, straight rows. Also
with bulletin boards, items that extend beyond the borders of the
bulletin board often look unsightly. With the Display Bars not having
borders, this problem is eliminated.

2) Announcements being taped to glass
windows and doors at building entry points and/or other locations -
Items being displayed are often random and unorganized in placement,
and leave tape residue on the glass.
VuTech solution: Start
by placing one or more rows of adhesive Display Bars on the inside
of the glass. Because a Display Bar can hold multiple items simultaneously,
announcements can be placed back to back and thus can be seen by persons
entering or exiting while eliminating unsightly tape residue on the
glass.

3) Items being taped to brick or cinder block
walls - Items being displayed typically soon fall off
and leave a hard to remove tape residue behind.
VuTech solution: Start
by cleaning the brick and then apply an adhesive Display Bar to the
brick or cinder block wall. By pressing firmly on the Display Bar,
the adhesive will surround the texture on textured drywall or go into
the pores on brick and cinder block walls. Now items can be easily
displayed without them falling off, or disfiguring the walls.

4) Displaying items around elevators
- Items being displayed are typically random and unorganized and often
damage wall surfaces, or the interior of elevators.
VuTech solution: Simply
place one or more Display Bars for clean organized appearance with
no damage to walls. A magnetic Display Bar could be used on metal
surfaces inside the elevator as well.

5) Displaying items on doors -
Items being displayed are typically random and unorganized and often
damage door surfaces.
VuTech solution: Simply
place a Display Bar on door or under name tag for organized display
with no damage to door or adjacent wall. The Display Bar can also
act as a receptacle for items being left for the person who occupies
the office, or to announce a change in a meeting time or location.
Magnetic Display bars can be moved around and placed on doors, or
any metal surface.

6) Banners and Large Maps - Varying
sized banners (with or without grommets), often cause ongoing wall damage
due to them being tacked or taped to walls and other facility surfaces.
VuTech solution: Once
in place, the Display Bars can be used to display banners that vary
in size, and grommets are no longer needed to hang the banners, thus
eliminating wall damage while lowering the cost of producing the banners.

7) Conference rooms Quite
often during meetings large tripod mounted tablets are used so that
the person conducting the meeting can write down information as it is
discussed. So that this information can be referred back to during the
meeting, the sheets from the tablet are often taped or tacked to the
wall.
VuTech solution: Place
one or more adhesive Display Bar along wall and insert sheets from
tablet into Display Bar prior to the start of the meeting thereby
eliminating time wasted when sheets are being removed from tablet
and taped/tacked to wall. Also eliminates ongoing damage to walls.
A magnetic Display Bar can also be used and be moved where needed
on metal-based whiteboards for better audience viewing.

8) Copy/fax machine area
When a person is making multiple copies they sometimes set the number
of copies to be made and then walk away planning to return later and
retrieve the copies. In the interim faxes might be received and/or other
persons might be making copies as well, which often results in a disorganized
work station and wasted time for employees who are trying to locate
their copies or faxes.
VuTech solution: Numerous
copies and faxes can be stacked and then inserted into a Display Bar
to provide an easy method of organizing both copies and faxes until
they are picked up by the designated recipients.

9) Displaying patient care instructions
on doors and above bed in hospitals Patient care instructions
are sometimes taped or tacked, and often require nurses to write down
instructions each time.
VuTech solution: The Display
Bar is placed on door and over bed, which eliminates tacking or taping
patient care instructions. Many hospitals create patient care instruction
signs which are laminated and used repeatedly to eliminate nurses
having to write instructions each time. This saves time and money.

10) Displaying announcements on tripods
- Displaying policy and event announcements using tripods often causes
unnecessary clutter and a health and safety tripping hazard in lobbies
and other common areas.
VuTech solution: Start
by placing a Display Bar approximately five feet from the
ground. When items need to be displayed they can quickly be inserted
into the Display Bar without having to locate and setup/take
down a tripod. Tripods also limit the size of the items being displayed,
whereas a Display Bar could post something as small as a
business card or as large as a poster/banner which extends all the
way to the ground. When not being used to display items, the Display
Bars clean brushed aluminum finish does not distract from
the décor of a lobby or entry way. NOTE: a second Display
Bar could be placed 14 inches below the first Display Bar.
The top one can be used to display documents up to 8.5 X 14 inches,
or smaller. The bottom Display Bar could be used for another
row of similar sized items, or could display larger items such as
large posters, etc.

11) Nametags which do not have the capability
to display visual items - Often items are taped or
tacked under or near a persons nametag causing damage to walls
or doors. When a persons location is changed, another expensive
replacement nametag must be purchased.
VuTech Solution: Display
Bars make great functional nameplates on both doors
and cubicle walls. To reduce the cost of engraved plastic nametags
many companies are utilizing label-makers, which can be purchased
at office supply stores, to create a copy of the persons name.
Once the label is attached to the Display Bar, it then serves
as both a standard nametag as well as a receptacle for inserted
documents, changes in meeting locations, announcements, and messages.
Messages, or materials left for the occupier of an office will definitely
be seen by the intended person upon their return. Nametags created
by using a label on a Display Bar can easily be changed when personnel
changes occur.

This application allows a facility to utilize existing technology
in an improved portable manner. The student center, in this
case, is able to use the framed area (supported by the square
post which is centered in a round base) to post current items
which are produced to the exact dimensions of the framed area.
However, when guests are using/renting any of the multiple
conference rooms and have items to post, they are able to
use the Display Bar to post their visual items even if they
dont fit within the frame boundaries. Directions on
how to use the Display Bar are printed right below the Bar.
There are Display Bars on both the front and the back of the
frame (not shown in picture), which allows information to
be read from either direction upon entry or departure.
